This week we look at instruction card #9, which demonstrates the use of gears and leverage to produce circular motion. The card gives us 2 models, the first is a simple lever action that drives a fan. The second is a oil or gas well pump you would see out in the fields.
The instruction for the build are simple enough and the produced model works better than expected.
… and a very quick video on how it works.
The second model, is that of a gas or oil pump you would find in petroleum industry. As this this model is found on the back of the instruction card in the form of a picture there are no instructions, but it only took a few minutes to figure out how to build it.
Well that’s it for this installment, Ralph.
